Fifteen years ago I started doing what I do now — sitting with people, asking the right questions, and helping them find their way through whatever they were carrying. That work has taken different shapes over the years, but the core of it has always been the same: people need a space where they can think out loud without being judged, and sometimes all it takes is the right person asking the right question at the right moment. The barbershop idea came from an ordinary afternoon with my son. We were sitting in a barber’s chair and it struck me — this is already a space where men open up. It always has been. The chair does something to people. They relax, they talk, they say things they wouldn’t say anywhere else. I just wanted to make that intentional. That’s Roald & Co.
